For nearly 50 years, Franklin’s Flying Circus has entertained air show spectators with its unique and exciting acts that are focused on precision flying. Father and son, Jimmy and Kyle Franklin fly, entertain and tell a great story through their showmanship and talent.
Jimmy has been flying since he was 19, earning the Art Scholl Award for Showmanship – and holds the honor as the only performer to receive this award twice. He is also a member of the Air Show Hall of Fame and the International Aerobatic Hall of Fame. Kyle has added to the performance capabilities of the Flying Circus with new routines and characters as well as appearances on reality TV and recognition in several publications.
Fans will see the Cub Comedy routine with the Ben Whabnoski character as well as the Captain Kyro and Scandalous Scarlett Pirated Skies stories. Kyle has also created Dracula, the immortal monster of dreams and nightmares takes in the form of a biplane and a thrilling air show act. Dracula has the bold look and sound of a 1930’s racing airplane with a custom paint job that looks like something from the opening scene of a horror movie.
