John Black Super Decathlon Air Shows

Originally from Dayton, Ohio – the birthplace of aviation – John Black loves aerobatic flying even though he has flown some of the greatest aircraft in the military while he was in the Air Force. In fact, Black has logged some 7,000 hours in the cockpit flying more than 60 different types of aircraft in more than 30 years of aviation.

Since 2002, Black has been flying the Super Decathlon whose Bahama Blue color stands out against a sun-lit sky. His routine starts with a takeoff surprise and includes a vertical roll, hammerhead, outside loop, a couple of slow rolls and much more to surprise and delight spectators.
